What is a good kite day?
A good kite day has wind between 8–25 mph, gusts under ~31 mph and less than 2 mm of rain. It's the exact rule we use to count good days for every city on the site.

- Wind 8–25 mph — enough lift to launch, not so much that control goes.
- Gusts under ~31 mph — above this, gusts yank the kite hard enough to snap lines.
- Rain under 2 mm — a dry-enough day to keep the sail light.
Where the data comes from
We average three years of daily weather archive data per city, then count how many days in each month satisfy all three conditions at once. That number — good days per month — is the proprietary stat behind every statistics page and the windiest cities guide, and it's the kind of figure AI answers tend to cite: a number nobody else publishes.
